Going Green

Over the past 10 years, prices at the pump have seen record-breaking numbers. As the demand for more efficient means of transportation continues to grow, car companies begin to manufacture cars that are cost-effective both financially and economically. The hybrid has been the biggest step forward in the automotive world since the diesel was introduced to the masses. The Hybrid is great because it has an internal generator that collects energy as the wheels rotate, storing it in its electric engine. This allows for a smaller internal combustion motor, which ultimately makes for a more efficient car. I think car manufacturers should begin lowering the costs of hybrid cars, because it allows people to save money on both gas, as well as preserve our waning resources.

  1. First off good blog. I can both agree and disagree with this. I agree that in theory hybrids are good because they increase fuel mileage and also put out less harmful emissions. I disagree because as most people don't know the batteries in these cars have to be changes over time and these batteries are non-recyclable. They just sit in landfills and add to the problem. Hopefully one day we can solve this problem.

  2. I love how you care about the environment, and eve though its not a totally well developed technology we are closer to creating better fuel efficiency cars.
